"Only a child sees things with perfect clarity, because it hasn't developed all those filters which prevent us from seeing things that we don't expect to see." -Douglas Adams, retrieved from http://www.notable-quotes.com/c/children_quotes.html
I believe as we get older we forget how to look at things innocently without presumption and this holds many of us back from enjoying the true wonders in life.
This is one of my favorite assignments, I always put quotes on my signature in emails so here are a few more I found true to my beliefs as a child development professional.
"Truly wonderful the mind of a child is." -YODA, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, retrieved from http://www.notable-quotes.com/c/children_quotes.html
"That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up." -Walt Disney, retrieved from http://www.notable-quotes.com/c/children_quotes.html
"While we try to teach our children all about life, Our children teach us what life is all about."-Angela Schwindt, retrieved from http://www.quotegarden.com/children.html
"Having a two year old is like having a blender that you don't have a top for."-Jerry Seinfield, retrieved from http://www.quotegarden.com/children.html
"Anyone who thinks the art of conversation is dead ought to tell a child to go to bed."-Robert Gallagher, retrieved from http://www.quotegarden.com/children.html
I would like to thank everyone for their insight, information, and help throughout this class. I have really enjoyed everyone's participation and comments and giving me an opportunity to share mine. Hope everyone has a refreshing couple of weeks off and to work with many of you again in future classes.
Dear Crystal,
ReplyDeleteYour blog post says it all! Children are the main reason for all of my endeavors and sometimes I forget there is a lighter side of a child development. Thank you for reminding me about the humorous aspect of childhood, and I just love every one of the quotes. In particular the quote from Yoda! Thank you for all your great insights throughout this class. I hope we meet again :)
